A Chinese citizen arrested for stealing a trade secret in the US was about to board a flight to China; Illegally created software code

In the US late Friday, a Chinese citizen was arrested for stealing a trade secret. The Justice Department gave this information in a statement. According to the statement, the name of the accused is Hezhou Hu. Hu is a 34-year-old computer expert and has worked in several US cities on work visas.

It is believed that after this arrest, the tension between the US and China can increase. Both the countries have ordered many people of each other to leave the country since the last days.

Information obtained without approval

According to the statement, the moment Hu was arrested, he was preparing to board a flight to China. His boarding pass was also ready. However, the police did not provide any information as to who was with Hu and till now it has not been revealed which companies he was working for. Justice Department said - Hu extracted information from computers that he did not have access to. Nor did he have the approval to extract such information.

Came to America as a researcher

According to the Justice Department, Hu came to the US for the first time two years ago. He has been described as a researcher of biotech. But, he illegally created software codes and tried to steal trade secret through them. Some suspicious items have also been recovered from him. The accused has also gone to Virginia University several times.

Stress will increase again

Last month, the US asked China to vacate the Houston Consulate. After this, China had evacuated the American Consulate in Chengdu. The US had alleged that China was using its embassies to spy on the US. A few days later a Chinese woman was arrested. She had assumed that she was building a spy network.
